Who is Huckleberry Thinn?
I am Huckleberry Thinn. A several-generation niece to literary icon Samuel Langhorne Clemens (most notably known as Mark Twain), I’m on an adventure to keep writing in my family and healthy food on the table.
While I’ll never compare my writing or wit to my deceased ancestor, I will remind you I share a similar genetic makeup with the father of American literature. This makes me, well, not very famous, but at least it gives me street cred and something to write about. Carry on…
The Adventures of Huckleberry Thinn is a story. Join me on my epic journey through nutrition school. I will share my out-of-the-textbook findings, emotion-stirring opinions and easy-to-take-home culinary creations. These are real stories about real food.
Why is this adventure different than the next dietitian or nutritionist with a blog? These food stories are inspired by my adventures and are educed to inspire yours. I understand you don’t want to know all the nuts and bolts of nutrition (chemistry BLARG!)—just the black and white, easy-to-digest stuff that will shave time in the kitchen, get your butt into the backcountry and keep you on the planet longer.
You can’t trust a skinny cook, but you sure as hell should trust a fit one.
While Huckleberry Thinn is…thin, weight loss is not our ultimate goal. We want energy and vitality. I will feed you empowering food stories so you can fuel yourself with arousing nutrients and have the energy to adventure and—inevitably—live a longer, leaner life.
This isn’t about being a super chef. Huckleberry Thinn is a refreshingly fun, simple, non-dieting approach to food. You won’t find Betty Crocker baking secrets here either. Just nourishingly hearty, wildly nutritious and irresistibly delicious food craft that illuminates traditional recipes from around the world with power nutrients and provocative flavor.
Welcome to The Adventures of Huckleberry Thinn. Onward!
